New in Training Spain 2024
New in Training Spain 2024 available in the #Millennium2024 programme for #AD Spain!
Electromechanical Training:
Ford Focus 1.5 Ecoboost 150 CV
The new Focus has surprised us with the technological advances that it offers, especially in its 1.5 Ecoboost (Dragon) engine, known as Y1DA/YZDA. This turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine has a shut-off system for one of its cylinders. What is more, it has an innovative injection system capable of combining direct and indirect fuel injection, which results in highly optimised efficiency.
Moreover, regarding its equipment and body technology, we find interesting driving assistance systems like Co-Pilot 360 technology: adaptive cruise control, pre-collision assist, Active Park Assist, adaptive lighting system, blind-spot information system, rear-view camera, lane-keeping system, sign recognition, post-collision braking system and evasive steering system.
During this on-site training, we will focus on the following aspects:
- Direct/Indirect Injection Systems
- Cylinder shut-off system
- Variable timing system
- Variable turbocharger (petrol)
- Co-Pilot 360 Driving Assistance Systems
BMW 3 series 320e PHEV (plug-in hybrid)
The aim of this training is to understand the operating principles of the systems implemented in luxury electrified vehicles. We will focus on understanding safety protocols during handling and the diagnostic and repair processes of the main components of the powertrain, without forgetting auxiliary systems such as cooling and the low-voltage system with dual battery.
Furthermore, the main features that stand out are:
- 8-speed gearbox with an integrated electric motor
- Separator clutch
- Dual cooling circuit
- Climate control compressor and HV heating system
- Minimalist water-cooled condenser
- HV system on the outside of the vehicle
- Pressurised fuel tank inside the vehicle (boot)
Hyundai Tucson 1.6 T-GDI IMT Mild Hybrid
The 1.6T-GDI Smartstream engine stands out as the first engine with fully flexible valve operation (Continuously Variable Valve Duration). By varying both the duration and the moment of valve operation, it achieves nearly constant torque throughout the entire rpm range and a powerful response in any situation.
During this on-site training, we will focus on the following aspects:
- Continuously Variable Valve Duration (CVVD)
- High-Pressure Direct Injection
- Electronic boost control
- Mild-Hybrid 48V with energy recuperation and start/stop
- Electrohydraulic clutch-by-wire
- IMT system (Intelligent Manual Transmission)
- Reduction of CO2 emissions
Mechanical Training:
HYUNDAI 1.6 CRDI MHEV (D4FE) diesel engine + 7-speed dry double clutch transmission (DCT)
During the on-site training, we will focus on the following aspects:
- Disassembly and adjustments of the 48V IBSG
- Study and verification of the 48V battery and the DC/DC converter
- D4FE engine timing belt
- Mechanical adjustments and settings for the D4FE engine
- High and low-pressure EGR system
- Adjustment and calibration of the dual clutch using specific tools
- Study, testing and adjustments of the 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT)
- Operation of the electrohydraulic clutch actuator
- Operation of the gear selector servo motors
