SOLUTION

Repair steps for model i3 (I01):
• Check the current integration level of the vehicle.
• Programme and code the vehicle to a higher version using the appropriate diagnostic tool (Tool software version 3.57.0) if the integration level is lower than 15-11-501.
• Replace the engine wiring harness with an upgraded version with a specific reference number: 12 51 8 653 789.
• Fit a heat shield sheet with a specific reference number: 12 90 7 625 470.
• Install a screw with a specific reference: 07 11 9 907 838.
• Screw the supplied bracket onto the new improved wiring harness next to the heat shield sheet.
• Tighten the heat shield sheet to a torque of 11.8 Nm.

Repair steps for model i8 (I12):
• Check the current integration level of the vehicle.
• Programme and code the vehicle to a higher version using the appropriate diagnostic tool (Tool software version 3.57.1) if the integration level is lower than 15-11-502.
• Replace the engine wiring harness (Starter/Alternator) with a new one.

NOTE: Regarding the level of integration. The BMW manufacturer uses this code in addition to the VIN code as an identification reference for the software and/or components of the vehicle.

NOTE: It is not necessary to replace the entire Range Extender electrical machine electronics (REME) to solve this failure.

Pasos de reparación para el modelo i3 (I01):
• Comprobar el nivel de integración actual del vehículo.
• Programar y codificar el vehículo a una versión superior con el útil de diagnosis adecuado (Versión software del útil 3.57.0) si el nivel de integración es inferior a 15-11-501.
• Sustituir el mazo de cables del motor por una versión mejorada con referencia específica: 12 51 8 653 789.
• Montar una chapa anticalórica con referencia específica: 12 90 7 625 470.
• Montar un tornillo con referencia específica: 07 11 9 907 838.
• Atornillar el soporte suministrado en el nuevo mazo de cables mejorado junto a la chapa anticalórica.
• Atornillar la chapa anticalórica a un par de apriete de 11,8 Nm.

Pasos de reparación para el modelo i8 (I12):
• Comprobar el nivel de integración actual del vehículo.
• Programar y codificar el vehículo a una versión superior con el útil de diagnosis adecuado (Versión software del útil 3.57.1) si el nivel de integración es inferior a 15-11-502.
• Sustituir el mazo de cables del motor (Motor de arranque/alternador) por uno nuevo.

NOTA: Respecto al nivel de integración. El fabricante BMW utiliza este código añadido al número de bastidor como referencia de identificación del software y/o componentes del vehículo.

NOTA: Para solucionar esta avería no es necesario sustituir todo el sistema de electrónica de electromáquinas de tipo Range Extender (REME).

Passos de reparação para o modelo i3 (I01):
• Verifique o actual nível de integração do veículo.
• Programar e codificar o veículo para uma versão superior com a ferramenta de diagnóstico apropriada (Tool software versão 3.57.0) se o nível de integração for inferior a 15-11-501.
• Substituir a cablagem do motor por uma versão melhorada com referência específica: 12 51 8 653 789.
• Colocar uma placa anti-calor com referência específica: 12 90 7 625 470.
• Colocar um parafuso com a referência específica: 07 11 9 907 838.
• Aparafusar o suporte fornecido no novo instalação eléctrica melhorado junto à blindagem térmica.
• Aperte a placa resistente ao calor até um aperto de 11,8 Nm.

Passos de reparação para o modelo i8 (I12):
• Verifique o actual nível de integração do veículo.
• Programar e codificar o veículo para uma versão superior com a ferramenta de diagnóstico apropriada (Tool software versão 3.57.1) se o nível de integração for inferior a 15-11-502.
• Substitua o instalação eléctrica do motor (Starter/Alternator) por um novo.

NOTA: Quanto ao nível de integração. O fabricante BMW utiliza este Código, além do VIN, como referência de identificação para o software e/ou componentes do veículo.

NOTA: Não é necessário substituir todo o sistema eletrônico das eletro-máquinas do tipo Range Extender (REME) para remediar esta falha.

Étapes de réparation pour le modèle i3 (I01) :
• Vérifier le niveau d’intégration actuel du véhicule.
• Programmer et coder le véhicule à une version supérieure avec l’outil de diagnostic approprié (version 3.57.0 du logiciel de l’outil) si le niveau d’intégration est inférieur à 15-11-501.
• Remplacer le faisceau de câbles du moteur par une version améliorée avec la référence spécifique : 12 51 8 653 789.
• Monter une plaque anti-calorique avec la référence spécifique : 12 90 7 625 470.
• Monter une vis avec la référence spécifique : 07 11 9 907 838.
• Visser le support fourni sur le nouveau faisceau de câbles amélioré, à côté de la plaque anti-chaleur.
• Serrer la plaque anti-chaleur au couple de 11,8 Nm.

• Remplacer le faisceau de câbles du moteur (démarreur/alternateur) par un nouveau.

NOTE : en ce qui concerne le niveau d’intégration, le constructeur BMW utilise ce code en plus du VIN comme référence d’identification du logiciel et/ou des composants du véhicule.

NOTE : il n’est pas nécessaire de remplacer l’ensemble du système électro-machine électronique de type REME (Range Extender) pour remédier à ce défaut.

Reparatiestappen voor model i3 (I01):
• Controleer het huidige integratieniveau van het voertuig.
• Programmeer en codeer het voertuig naar een hogere versie met het juiste diagnosegereedschap (Gereedschapssoftware versie 3.57.0) als het integratieniveau lager is dan 15-11-501.
• Vervang de bedradingsbundel van de motor door een verbeterde versie met specifieke referentie: 12 51 8 653 789.
• Monteer een anti-oververhittingsplaat met specifieke referentie: 12 90 7 625 470.
• Monteer een schroef met specifieke referentie: 07 11 9 907 838.
• Schroef de bijgeleverde beugel op de nieuwe verbeterde kabelboom naast het hitteschild.
• Draai de hittebestendige plaat vast met een aanhaalmoment van 11,8 Nm.

Reparatiestappen voor model i8 (I12):
• Controleer het huidige integratieniveau van het voertuig.
• Programmeer en codeer het voertuig naar een hogere versie met het juiste diagnosegereedschap (Gereedschapssoftware versie 3.57.1) als het integratieniveau lager is dan 15-11-502.

OPMERKING: Wat het niveau van integratie betreft. De fabrikant BMW gebruikt deze code naast het VIN als een identificatie referentie voor de software en/of componenten van het voertuig.

OPMERKING: Het is niet nodig het gehele elektronicasysteem van Range Extender (REME) type elektromachines te vervangen om deze storing te verhelpen.
